The Food Services Assistant (FSA) is vital in providing efficient, high-quality catering support services within our Home. The FSA is dedicated and passionate about supporting our clinical and care teams in delivering nutritious meals and refreshments to residents while ensuring the highest food safety and hygiene standards.  

The FSA works with the clinical and care services team to create a positive dining experience for residents, promoting their health and well-being.

The important role you will play  

  • Setting up each servery and dining area ready for each meal period in line with Regis standards.
  • Setting up trolleys for tea breaks and supper.
  • Washing dishes and cleaning according to the Food Safety Program.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Assist with meal preparation when required.
  • Monitor and record requirements of the Food Safety Plan, such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, receipt of goods, etc.

What you will bring to the role   

  • Previous experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively.
  • Work as a team member, able to prioritise and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
  • Digital literacy.

 The important role you will play 

Regis is now seeking an aspiring Occupational Therapist on a part time, 8-day per fortnight basis to join the WA Home Care team, primarily based out of the Port Coogee Health & Wellness Centre (North Coogee) and working with the Hollywood Day Therapy Centre (Nedlands) team occasionally. The role will report directly to the General Manager Allied Health Services and have the opportunity to join Regis Home Care’s national Allied Health Practice Reference Group.

The position will support the transition to Support at Home (SAH), a highly anticipated change for community aged care. Integrating with our highly regarded Commonwealth Health Support Program (CHSP) service will be constituted.

 Role Responsibilities

  • Undertake comprehensive, holistic assessments including wellness and re-enablement reviews e.g. with the view to access onsite OT/MDT programs
  • Plan, implement and review appropriate preventive and therapeutic care services in consultation with stakeholders.
  • Coordinate/deliver individual and group therapy services alongside the MDT. 
  • Regularly review and update care plans to reflect changes in client’s health circumstances and needs.

Skills & Experience

  • Refined experience working with a falls risk population and knowledge of best practice Equipment, Assistive Technology and Home Modification prescriptions/recommendations.
  • Fundamental understanding of indications for integrated interdisciplinary care planning to maintain independence, including screening of physical function, domain specific cognition, social isolation and mental health. Training will be provided.
  • Experience and passion for working within the aged care sector.
  • Experience working within community services programs, specifically CHSP (highly regarded)
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
  • Mandatory requirements for all candidates
  • Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health (Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy.
  • Proof of right to work in Australia.
  • Current police check (under 6 months, full disclosure unsupervised vulnerable people)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Qualifications.

The opportunity 

The Clinical and Quality Specialist is a pivotal role within Regis, serving as the Subject Matter Expert in clinical, care and quality matters. This position ensures that Homes within the portfolio deliver high standards of safe, effective, integrated and person-centred care, while supporting achievement of legislative and regulatory requirements. 

Success in this role is built upon strong relationships with all stakeholders. The Clinical and Quality Specialist works closely with managers (including Regional General Manager, General managers and Clinical Care Managers) in respective areas, adopting a coaching and supportive style to enhance staff capability and knowledge in clinical, care, quality and improvement. 

Due to the nature of the support provided, the Clinical and Quality Specialist is required to be on-site at a Home at least 4 days per week. 

The Clinical and Quality Specialist is integral in shaping positive change and supporting both people and business practices to succeed.

The important role you’ll play

  • Provide coordination, support, coaching and guidance to the leadership teams of the homes/services within your portfolio to ensure clinical care is delivered that is safe, effective and integrated
  • Provide coordination, support, coaching and guidance to the leadership teams of the homes/services within your portfolio to ensure compliance with accreditation and other regulatory requirements
  • Provide co-ordination, support, coaching and guidance to Regis sites and their leadership and management teams to ensure best practice quality systems are in place

What you'll bring to the role

  • Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (no conditions)
  • Previous experience in a clinical leadership role and/or quality role in Health Care or Aged Care or a similar setting 
  • Highly proficient clinical knowledge and clinical decision making 
  • Demonstrated understanding of accreditation standards and quality systems 
  • Current drivers licence 
  • Ability to coach, support and provide direction to clinical leadership and leadership teams
  • Ability to collect and analyse data, distil information, report on findings and develop recommendations for improvement 
  • Understanding of accreditation, regulatory compliance and quality management systems and processes 
  • An effective communicator – both verbal and written 
  • Ability to provide staff education and training programs that promote organisational capability for best practice quality management 
  • Ability to be self-directed and maintain progress in multiple activities at the same time, having strong organisational and time management skills
