Clinical Care Team Leader- Regis Tiwi


About the role 


Reporting directly to the Clinical Care Manager and General Manager, the Clinical Care Team Leader is responsible for providing and coordinating resident care, supervising care staff, and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our clinical team. 


Key Responsibilities 


  • Lead and manage the clinical and allied health services under the direction of the Clinical Care Manager 
  • coordinate and evaluate individual resident care within the scope of practice and ensure it aligns with Regis Aged Care policies and procedures 
  • conducting staff competency assessments and contributing to staff training 
  • ensure accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation, including care plans, clinical assessments, and progress notes 
  • liaise with the CCM to ensure resident care outcomes are met 
  • provide person-centered resident care, prioritizing social, emotional, spiritual, and recreational needs 
  • maintain high standards of care management and nursing interventions 
  • monitor medication management and assist with 24-hour progress notes review 
  • promote harmonious interpersonal relations with residents, families, and staff 
  • model and actively support the Regis value proposition: living with support and upholding our core values. 


About the home


Away from the bustle of Darwin CBD, Regis Tiwi is set among well-tended lawns and palm trees and features verandas and sunny courtyards. Regis Tiwi is conveniently located nearby to shops, cafés, restaurants and Casuarina Square.


About You 


  • Current registration with the Australian Health Professional Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an RN with no conditions 
  • experience in an aged care lead role (residential or community) is preferred
  • knowledge and experience in clinical services in aged care 
  • sound knowledge and understanding of the AN-ACC funding system 
  • excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • strong knowledge of workplace health & safety, infection control, and manual handling 
  • positive attitude towards working with the elderly 
  • familiarity with relevant laws, acts, regulations, and codes of practice. 
  • Strong computer literacy 
  • first aid certificate (advantageous) 
  • frontline management certificate (advantageous) 

To work in residential aged care, you will need to provide satisfactory background checks, supply a NDIS worker screening clearance and flu vaccinations, and certification proof. Please upload these as part of your application.

  • Strong communication skills 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent) 
  • Current AHPRA registration (Nursing) 
  • The ability to quickly build your knowledge of the AN-ACC funding system attributes (experience with this system would be even better) 
  • Experience providing nursing services, whether in aged care, hospitals or community care settings 
  • An appreciation for the importance of accurate reporting and documentation management  
  • The ability to lead, effectively supervise and delegate tasks to our PCA/AIN’s

  • Ensure all cleaning requirements are met each shift. 
  • Interacting with the residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner 
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established cleaning protocols. 
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility.
  • Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
  • Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection transmission. 
  • Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.


What you will bring to the role   

  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, health care or Aged Care environment; or the willingness and motivation to learn 
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols and schedules. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. 
  • A positive attitude and a compassionate approach to elderly residents. 
  • Understanding and adherence to infection control practices.

We are seeking an Office Manager with well-rounded interpersonal skills to take ownership the home’s administrative function, the roster management of multidisciplinary teams and recruitment coordination. You will empower and enhance the operations of the home by providing exceptional customer service to those you encounter in and around the home, ensure quality compliance to meet robust aged care policies and build trusted relationships with the leadership team.
