How you will make an impact as a Chef


As a Chef at Regis, you’ll lead the delivery of a premium meal service, ensuring all meals—including special diets—are prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and safety. You’ll follow the Regis Food Safety Program and ensure safe use of all catering equipment.

•    Plan and deliver a four-week rotating menu aligned with Regis guidelines, catering to all dietary needs.

•    Oversee kitchen output, ensuring consistent quality, portion control, and plate presentation.

•    Manage stock levels, place orders, and process supplier invoices promptly.

•    Monitor deliveries for freshness, apply FIFO principles, and maintain proper food storage and labelling.

•    Control stock distribution to serveries and ensure daily requirements are met.

•    Ensure staff understand dietary types and requirements.

•    Maintain compliance with food safety regulations, including audits and documentation.

•    Respond appropriately to gastro outbreaks and support EHO inspections.

•    Uphold cleanliness standards across kitchen and dining areas through scheduled cleaning tasks.

•    Engage with residents and families to support dietary needs and special occasions.

•    Manage food costs and ensure adherence to Regis presentation standards across all service touchpoints.

•    Experience in Aged Care (preferred) - Two years of Full-time experience within Aged Care is preferred or broader catering experience from commercial catering in high volume is desired.

•    Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Chef in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary.

•    Trade Qualifications and experience and understanding of special dietary needs.
