How you will make an impact as a Domestic Assistant

You will play a vital role in providing person-centred assistance with household tasks for each client, supporting them to maintain their well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible.   • Provide services to the client in their home as outlined in the Care Plan,and regularly review the Care Plan to ensure you have an up-to-date understanding of particular client circumstances, needs and services.
  • Carrying out duties of general cleaning, Meal preparation, un-escorted shopping, companionship and support around the client’s home.
  • You will monitor the client and their environment and report any issues, needs, changes or suggestions to your Client Services manager.

 The important role you will play  

  • Ensure all cleaning and / or laundry requirements are met each shift. 
  • Interacting with the residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner 
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established cleaning protocols. 
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility.

  • Previous cleaning experience in a commercial, health care or Aged Care environment; or the willingness and motivation to learn 
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. 
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols and schedules. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team. 
  • A positive attitude and a compassionate approach to elderly residents. 
  • Understanding and adherence to infection control practices.

  • A true passion for caring for others   
  • A caring credential - a Certificate III or higher in Individual Support, Nursing, or related health/care studies  
  • Prior experience as a personal carer in aged care is a big plus. If you are new to aged care, we will make sure you get the training you need to succeed.

The Purchasing Officer is responsible for:

  • Implementing and monitoring purchasing and materials management strategies, processes and disciplines that meet the needs of the business
  • Undertaking purchasing activities and maintaining supplier relationships with respect to Regis’ catalogue of inventory and non-inventory items (products and services) with a focus on ensuring value for money and maintaining probity and accountability

Developing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to increase efficiency and productivity within the procurement to pay cycle and reduce tangible and intangible costs.
