How you will make an impact as a Domestic Assistant

You will play a vital role in providing person-centred assistance with household tasks for each client, supporting them to maintain their well-being and independence in their own surroundings for as long as possible. You will have the opportunity to build long lasting, trusted relationships with your clients and make a real difference every day.   

  • Provide services to the client in their home as outlined in the Care Plan,and regularly review the Care Plan to ensure you have an up-to-date understanding of particular client circumstances, needs and services.
  • Carrying out duties of general cleaning, Meal preparation, un-escorted shopping, companionship and support around the client’s home.
  • You will monitor the client and their environment and report any issues, needs, changes or suggestions to your Client Services manager.

The important role you will play  

  • Maintaining plant, equipment, building and services.
  • Ensure up-to-date records of all chemicals in use and compliant with appropriate safety and best practice.
  • Maintain the grounds in a neat and tidy manner. 
  • Identify preventative maintenance requirements, complete the works and documentation of schedules.
  • Ensure preventative and corrective maintenance is actioned within legal requirements and are documented in the relevant registers


What you will bring to the role   

  • General hands-on maintenance or handyman skills.
  • Maintenance of grounds, general painting skills, maintaining garden beds and knowledge of gardening equipment would be preferred.
  • Experience in supervision or coordination of maintenance programs.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificate.

The Food Services Assistant (FSA) is vital in providing efficient, high-quality catering support services within our Home. The FSA is dedicated and passionate about supporting our clinical and care teams in delivering nutritious meals and refreshments to residents while ensuring the highest food safety and hygiene standards.

The important role you will play  

  • Setting up each servery and dining area ready for each meal period in line with Regis standards.
  • Setting up trolleys for tea breaks and supper.
  • Washing dishes and cleaning according to the Food Safety Program.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Assist with meal preparation when required.
  • Monitor and record requirements of the Food Safety Plan, such as temperatures, cleaning schedules, receipt of goods, etc.


What you will bring to the role   

  • Previous experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety.
  • Good communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately and to communicate effectively.
  • Work as a team member, able to prioritise and adapt to various ways of supporting residents.
  • Digital literacy.

  • Manage the current team for cleaners and laundry assistants
  • Ensure all cleaning requirements are met each shift
  • Interacting with the residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established cleaning protocols
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility
