How you will make an impact as a Home Support Worker

You’ll enjoy flexible hours, a small supportive team, and the chance to make a meaningful difference every day.

  • Help with errands around the home, including cleaning, washing, ironing and vacuuming. 
  • Support with personal hygiene and showing, grooming and dressing.
  • Assisting with shopping and meal preparation.
  • Monitoring medication.
  • Scheduling and attending appointments. 
  • Providing companionship and engaging in social activities.

  • Previous experience in Day respite or lifestyle preferred
  • A warm and caring nature 
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team 
  • A positive and practical attitude 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • A current driver’s license and access to a reliable, registered and insured vehicle
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent 
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate 
  • WWVP Card WITH NDIS Endorsement
  • Medication Administration Competency

What you will bring to the role  

  • A true passion for caring for others

About the role

We currently have an opportunity for a part time Receptionist (The days available are Week 1 Thursday & Sunday & Week 2 Tuesdays & Thursdays - (0830-1700hrs) to join our team at Regis Ferny Grove in QLD. This role would require and would suit someone who has previous knowledge in rostering and is outgoing, friendly, and who relates well to the elderly. It requires someone with an excellent phone manners and IT Skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding communication, telephone and customer service skills

The important role you will play 

  • Supporting the Chef Manager with kitchen compliance including food safety, WHS and quality
  • Stock control and ordering
  • Resident dietary management
  • Kitchen and food cost management
  • Production and delivery of high-quality meals
  • Service excellence around all aspects of the dining experience
  • Strong front of house presence including communication with residents and families
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the kitchen staff, ensuring a smooth operation

 

What you will bring to the role  

  • Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook or currently enrolled
  • Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary
  • Understanding of special dietary needs
  • Time management and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to work as part of a broader catering team to continually improve the catering experience in our home.
