The opportunity
The Clinical Project Manager is responsible for setting up, coordinating, and leading clinical projects across Regis to drive ongoing improvements. This includes planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of various clinical projects, with primary responsibility for their management and successful delivery. The role requires effective project management, utilising experience and expertise in relevant areas to ensure clinical projects are implemented efficiently.
The important role you’ll play
The Clinical Project Manager will receive broad direction from their manager and will determine their own priorities and work plans consistent with the organisation’s priorities and project milestones and deliverables. They are expected to consult with their manager and other stakeholders on strategic and higher-level operational matters, as well as on issues likely to impact project deliverables.
Projects will be determined based on the current and emerging priorities, operational requirements and Regis’ Strategic and Business plan.
Clinical project priorities (FY25-FY27) will include:
• Planning and implementation of the Regis Model of Care;
• Supporting the clinical initiatives in response to the Aged Care reforms; and
• Driving and supporting the implementation of clinical standards under the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
What you'll bring to the role
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration (no conditions)
- Relevant experience within an Aged Care environment (At least 3 years)
- Qualification or equivalent relevant training related to improvement or similar
- Proven experience in driving clinical projects (large and/or small)
- High level of interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications skills, negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of staff and stakeholders
- Demonstrate a high level of professionalism to establish and maintain both internal and external relationships or partnerships
- Demonstrated and well-developed project management skills as they apply to driving clinical projects
- Experience in developing effective project plans, including the establishment and management of project timelines, risks, targets and other relevant critical success factors;
- Demonstrated competence in the personal attributes of leadership, initiative, flexibility and attention to detail
- Sound understanding of the principles and practices applying to quality and continuous improvement within a clinical project environment
- Demonstrated expertise in the delivery of education and training programs via a range of learning modes
- Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload under pressure
- Proven ability to problem solve with strong attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to apply a whole of system approach to achieve objectives
- Self-awareness of own performance, behaviours, and a commitment to personal development
- Advanced computer skills including programs in the Microsoft Office Suite environment
