About the role
This is a permanent part time position at our Regis Ferny Grove home. Our Laundry and Cleaning staff are the people who we trust to provide clean clothes and linen to our residents and maintain the cleanliness of our home. This requires strong time management and the ability to efficiently coordinate your day. This role is working as a member of our Laundry staff and Cleaning staff. You will be required to work 1 x Laundry shift and 3 x Cleaning shifts each week.
Duties & Responsibilities Laundry Assistant
- Ensure all laundry requirements are met each shift
- Always work as part of a team to help others and demonstrate a team spirit
- Complete reporting and documentation based on Regis policy and procedure
- Deliver excellent customer service in all that you do
- Always interact with the residents in friendly, helpful and positive manner
Duties & Responsibilities Cleaning
- Ensure all cleaning requirements are met each shift.
- Interacting with the residents in a friendly, helpful, and positive manner
- Perform routine cleaning tasks in resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other designated areas of the facility, following established cleaning protocols.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained throughout the facility.
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the appropriate department for prompt resolution.
- Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to minimize the risk of infection transmission.
- Follow safe work practices and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a laundry capacity / commercial laundry
- Previous commercial cleaning experience desirable
- Ability to complete set tasks within time frames provided
- Experience within Aged Care (desirable)
To be eligible to join the team at Regis we require the following:
- Consistent with State and Territory public health orders and with Regis’ mandatory vaccination policy, all candidates must produce evidence that they have received the current (i.e. 2024) seasonal influenza vaccination or medical evidence to Regis’ satisfaction of an accepted clinical contraindication to receiving the influenza vaccination
- Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
- Valid National Police Check (Full disclosure or standard disclosure)
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
