About the Role

The opportunity  

The Cyber Security Analyst assumes a critical role at Regis, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organisation's systems and data. The Cyber Security Analyst works closely with the Head of Cyber Security, Risk and Compliance and the whole IT. 

The focus of this role is to: 

  • Proactively monitor and assess security events across systems, swiftly responding to potential incidents to contain and mitigate their impact. 
  • Assess security threats, conduct risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity. 
  • Assist in developing and implementing compliance programs to align with security requirements, conducting regular assessments to ensure adherence to standards and regulations. 
  • Operate and maintain a suite of security tools, including antivirus, email security, patch management, vulnerability scanners, and DLP, ensuring their optimal functionality and efficiency in safeguarding critical assets. 
  • Design and deliver engaging security awareness programs for employees, educating them on the latest security protocols, procedures, and best practices to build a security-conscious workforce and enhance overall cyber resilience.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor, assess, and manage security events across Cyber Security Operations and Administration. 
  • Identify potential security risks to the organization and assess their potential impact
  • Conduct risk assessments to determine the likelihood and severity of security incidents
  • Contribute to the creation and implementation of security policies and controls based on adopted frameworks such as NIST cybersecurity framework and ISO 27001
  • Be a key point of contact / customer service representative in supporting IT & Projects and the wider business in relation to Information Security including contracts, deliverables, KPI’s, service and supply issues (where appropriate)

 

What You’ll Bring 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cyber Security, or a related field
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, tools, frameworks, and best practices
  • High level analytical, conceptual and problem-solving ability
  • Experience in working with third party service providers to operate, maintain and support services
  • Experience with risk management
  • Ability to quickly grasp the operation and maintenance of various tools and technical solutions used by Regis cyber
  • Ability to provide articulate reports and documentation on security assessments and solutions to key stakeholders clearly expressing security risks from a technical perspective
  • Any relevant cybersecurity certifications
  • Knowledge of cyber security frameworks such as NIST CSF and ISO 27001
