Annual Salary AU$55,000 - AU$80,000 + Super + penalties – Level of experience and skill will determine grade and salary

The opportunity   


We are seeking a dedicated Cook to join our aged care team across multiple locations in Western Australia. In this role, you will support the Chef in preparing and delivering high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, while ensuring compliance with food safety standards. This position involves manual handling and requires a commitment to hygiene, teamwork, and resident satisfaction.

How you will make an impact as a Cook


As a Cook, you’ll support the Chef in delivering high-quality meals that meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences, while ensuring compliance with the Regis Food Safety Program. This role involves food preparation, safe use of catering equipment, and manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and operating relevant equipment.


Key Responsibilities


    Prepare and serve meals hygienically, ensuring taste, presentation, and dietary standards are met.

    Follow food safety procedures, including temperature control and allergen management.

    Assist with stock deliveries, storage, and rotation using FIFO principles.

    Monitor food quality and report issues to the Chef or Chef Manager.

    Support menu planning and resident engagement for special occasions.

    Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and equipment in line with the Food Safety Program.

    Record temperatures, cleaning schedules, and goods received as required.

    Assist with customer feedback and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Attend mandatory annual training (e.g., food safety, manual handling, emergency procedures).

    Participate in quality improvement programs and maintain manual handling competency.

What you will bring to the role


    Experience in Aged Care (preferred)

    Qualification (Cert III/IV in Commercial Cookery) and/or experience working as a Cook in Aged Care would be advantageous but not necessary

    Understanding of special dietary needs 

    Exceptional customer service mindset

    Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
