The opportunity
The Payroll Operations Manager is accountable for supporting the National Manager Payroll in overseeing the Payroll team to provide effective, accurate and efficient services. This includes the development and maintenance of leading practice payroll and reporting processes and procedures with a focus on upholding industrial and legislative compliance and requirements. Critical to this role is:
- meeting internal service levels and all legislative / EA requirements;
- uplifting the capability of the Payroll team and function as a whole;
- developing a strong relationship with a variety of stakeholders; and
- Implementing a range of strategic / process improvement initiatives and position the function for future growth in Regis’ operations.
As a Payroll Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Delivering Regis Payroll operations and services
- Providing accurate data and analysis (standard and ad hoc reports)
- Implementing & monitoring effective Payroll processes and controls
- Providing excellent service to and communication with all stakeholders
- Developing a high performing team
What we look for:
- Experience managing a complex Payroll function and team through periods of significant change
- Experience in building a Payroll team focused on excellence in service delivery
- Experience interpreting multiple complex Awards/Agreements and explaining these concepts to others
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Experience with improving and enforcing business systems and controls
- Advanced Microsoft suite skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Experience with ERP accounting system
- Experience with chris21 and HumanForce or similar
